Milyn Satterfield was born and raised in Houston, Texas and spent her high school years in Birmingham, Alabama. Milyn was very involved in sports in school until the knees surrendered and photography, music and theater took the reins. Her creativity and wild streak combined landed her in film school at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
At the age of 18 Milyn started her production company and was named an Honorary Member of the Business Advisory Council. By 19 she was published in the Wall Street Journal. A couple of years of scheduled life wore away at her before she decided to pack up the VW van and go make a documentary about the modern day gypsy artisans associated with the music scene. Several years of this and an accidental marriage at Mardi Gras left her slaving away in the land of Final Cut Pro and singing her heart out at any bar, living room, subway or street corner whenever possible.
Milyn then took on a bit of a gypsy lifestyle herself living, singing, training and working with artists in Manhattan, Brooklyn and up state New York; Park City, Utah; Birmingham, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana and elsewhere around the United States.
Together Ricky Little, Alex Troughton and Milyn Satterfield have created the psychedelic blues rock experience that is Royal & Toulouse.
