My band's second album, Carnies' Southern Delight is being recorded at Little Town Sound, a professional recording studio. The drums, bass and vocals were recorded in June. One word RAW! Haunting and whiny guitar riffs paired with solid power bass lines and growly, gritty, passionate vocals melt together for this sultry soulful southern sound. Not only is Milyn Satterfield, the talented lyricist and vocalist overflowing with soul reminiscent of Billie Holiday and Janis Joplin but she looks like a Botticelli painting bursting with those infamous "whiskey soaked vocals". It's in no way a traditional blues, more of a swing that keeps your attention on the wild times and hard living told to you by a smoky voiced old soul. The production value isn't one to brag about but neither were those of Robert Johnson. With these intoxicating vocals and Hendrix meets Jimmy Page guitar wails I can't wait to hear what these guys do next.
